1640 St Giles Cripplegate burial: a third Francis Garney, joiner, and his infant John
The St Giles Cripplegate register records the burial of "John sonne of ffrancis Garney Joyner" in December 1640; the child had been christened on 14 December and was buried on the 16th. The father's trade is joiner, not laceweaver, so this is a third London Francis Gurney/Garney, distinct from both the Merchant Taylor and the Norwich laceweaver. The infant John is not the emigrant.

- Supports Finding The parentage claim attaches to Francis the Merchant Taylor, not to the two same-named contemporariesA third London Francis, a joiner, must also be kept out of the household.
