1695-96 Providence warning-out of John Gurney, a stranger

Providence, Rhode Island's town council ordered a transient "John Gurney" to leave town on 31 March 1695; when he returned, the council in 1696 ordered him apprehended and fined 5 shillings or whipped twelve stripes and removed from town.
