Phillimore's printed Edlesborough marriage register carries a John Gurney marrying Mary Kidgell in 1661, inside a cluster of five Gurney marriages there between 1660 and 1685 (William Gurney x Martha Halsey 1660; Samuel Gurney of Bierton x Elizabeth Bunce of Padbury 1662; Thomas Gurney of Hockliffe x Frances Norman 1680; George Hill x Mary Gurney 1685).
